Maintenance
| There are three
services offered by SCOPE within the Home Maintenance area -
Homemaker, CHORE and the newly developed Home Maintenance. |
| HOMEMAKER -
Homemakers perform light housework and laundry services for the
homebound. |
| CHORE - This
service provides heavy housework for the homebound. Some of the
tasks that CHORE provides are snow shoveling, lawn mowing, wall
washing, floor washing and oven cleaning. |
HOME MAINTENANCE
- This service provides small home repairs, such as:

Porch repair |
|
Repair of
steps and hand railings |
|
Interior
painting |
|
Commodes in
need of repair and replacement |
|
Kitchen &
bathroom faucets |
|
Installation
of lever type faucets and door knobs |
|
swing hinges |
|
fire alarms |
|
other minor
home repairs such as ceiling fans, light fixtures,
installing mini blinds and safety lights, dead bolt locks,
etc. |

| All of SCOPE's In
Home Services are available to anyone at least 50 years of age
on a Private Pay basis. Home Maintenance is available at a cost
of $14 per hour. To be eligible for SCOPE'S subsidized In Home
Services, the client must be at least 60 years of age and meet
the Department of Human Service's age and income requirements.
