Howland S.C.O.P.E. will continue to be an important part of in the lives of Trumbull County mature citizens. In July, Crocheting classes began with Judy Conigy as instructor. Classes meet Thursday mornings at 10:00 am till noon. Judy will instruct students on various stitches and different projects. Lunches before Tuesday Bingo’s have been popular and we especially enjoyed the Pot Luck lunch held on July 22. We had up to 50 people coming to Bingo this summer. It was a great way to have fun with friends and beat the summer heat. Another new program has been added with Al Bahl, S.C.O.P.E.’s own naturalist. “Birds, Bugs and Butterflies in our Backyard” meet at the Howland S.C.O.P.E. on Mondays at 10:30. Howland S.C.O.P.E. has recently acquired a new corn hole game. Teams are forming now for indoor or outdoor play. If you are not familiar with the game of corn hole stop in any day the center is open and try your hand at it. Card games, chess, checkers, puzzles, pool table are all available. Stop in and bring a friend or make some new friends.
